While the term influencer can be a bit grandiose, the reality is that Millennials, Gen Z, and even those with more life experience under their belt are consuming more content than ever online - often through pictures and video. To reach those customers, especially those just starting to develop brand loyalties, advertising your products via social media is essential. While running ads on Youtube, Instagram, and Facebook is one method, a more direct and measurable means of putting your products in front of future customers is direct product placement, taking advantage of the relationship Social Media personalities have built with their viewers, and more importantly earning the endorsement that goes along with lending one’s name to a brand.

It’s our belief that the most authentic means to spread awareness of your brand to our audience is simply to use your products and let their quality speak for themselves (with some subtle encouragement). For that reason we are always looking to partner with companies that produce high quality tools, software solutions, consumables, and shop enhancements to show those products to our viewers and drive sales to your chosen platforms.

These partnerships can take the form of direct sponsorship, supplies of products used in the shop, the providing of tools for use and review, enhancements to our shop, or a number of other relationships that let you stretch your marketing dollar in a meaningful way.

While our preferred relationship is one of Brand Ambassador and Sponsor, we’re available to produce explainer, promotional, review, and assembly videos, for distribution on your channel and/or 42Fab’s channels.

One of the goals of our channel we are most passionate about is teaching. As we’ve learned from others, we want to pass that knowledge on. We do so by welcoming viewers into the shop, sharing tips on how we work, and taking 6 hours a week to work with and teach a high school intern (pictured).

About Us:

Richard and Jessica Day are natives of California and North Carolina respectively and met on Scholarship at the University of Oklahoma when Jessica walked into Robotics Club and Richard was smitten from ‘Hello'.

Jessica studied Computer Science and is a Team Lead Developer for a national HR and Payroll firm. Richard studied Civil Engineering, went into the Heavy Highway workforce, and immediately realized he couldn’t sit at a desk for the next 45 years.

After returning to metalworking, the means by which Richard paid his way through school, he set out to spend a year deciding if he could build a business that would support his responsibilities; 5 years later he hasn’t looked back.

Four years into running his business Richard took on a local high school student who wanted to learn metal fabrication as an intern and enjoyed watching him discover the world of “making big stuff” so much that he wanted to relive that experience over and over again. After having worked with a few Youtubers in the past, the logical choice was to put himself out there and show how things are done in the 42Fab shop.

Jessica has recently started spending more time in the shop (and is becoming more comfortable on camera) and just completed her first solo project, which will be featured on the channel during the holidays.

Richard is happier than he has ever been, especially since the couple tied the knot recently after 6 years together.

… and yeah, Richard wore steel toed boots to the Altar.

 

How we can work Together

The going rate for a mention and link in a video for a channel of our size is just over $100* and we think that’s a crazy way to spend your money, so we don’t do that. While we are available for the creation of dedicated review, instructional, and assembly videos, we prefer to bring partners on for a sustained relationship. Doing so allows us to work in a manner our audience finds authentic and allows your brand to be “plugged” in a way that viewers are unlikely to skip past.

Shop Sponsors

Each Brand that we work with as a shop sponsor provides our small shop with the tools, supplies, or material needed for projects we work on and in return, those products, once proven to be of high quality, are subtly promoted to our viewers.

That’s it, we trade what you do for what we do!

The FTC has strict rules on the honesty of reviews, which we abide by. You will have the option to have a review, and the associated content, omitted if it is less than favorable, but we cannot offer “guaranteed positive” reviews, legally or ethically.

Channel Sponsors

Brands that want to get in front of our audience even more can support the channel with an ongoing level of support that fits your needs.

As we are primarily a sign shop, each Channel Sponsor will get a custom made sign hung on our wall for exposure in the background of every relevant video.

Sponsorship rates can be adjusted down as makes sense for Brands wanting to promote more expensive pieces of equipment where the equipment itself adds value to our shop.

Currently Channel Sponsorship rates are $100 per month, $550/6 months, or $1,000 paid annually. As a bonus, annual sponsors will get a copy of their sign to display in their facility.

In most cases, Shop Sponsors enjoy promotion exclusivity in their product space.

Project Sponsors

Do you have a specific new product, event, or media campaign you’d like to draw attention to?

Project Sponsorships are videos that are tailored to your product and our audience. Want to show off a new kind of surface finisher? We’ll find a project where we can show of it’s features.

Projects can also be travel experiences. Would you like to show off your manufacturing facility, your campus, or your products in action? Richard is a road trip junkie and loves visiting manufacturing facilities (real How It’s Made geek). We can produce content for our channel and/or videos you can use in your advertising. All rights are yours to keep.
